Calgary’s eighth-annual TEDxYYC event returns to the Jack Singer Concert Hall on June 23. In honour of #Canada150, TEDxYYC 2017 will feature an all-Canadian collection of big thinkers, action takers, courageous innovators, trailblazers and brave artists to our stage from all corners of Technology, Entertainment and Design – including Hayley Wickenheiser, Peter Oldring, Marni Panas and Michael Bernard Fitzgerald.
In the spirit of ‘ideas worth spreading’ and expanding the footprint of local arts, TEDxYYC attendees get to experience our first-ever Artist in Residence the minute they walk through the door. Inspired by this year’s theme – Intersect – this grassroots program was created as a way to fund, support and showcase the talents of a local artist and ACAD alum, Jana Brodkin-Singh.
